VIDEO: Addiction Divides Us, Recovery Unites Us; The Family’s Story

We’re a group of dancers, teachers, therapists, etc. & “family members” who came together to create a dance piece depicting the family’s experience of addiction and recovery. The inspiration for this dance piece came from several sources, including addiction counselor and artist, Russell P. Mai’s illustration, “My Family? Your Family?”, choreographer, Mia Michael’s powerful “Addiction” dance piece, and the work of authors Sharon Wegscheider-Cruse and Claudia Black.

EVERYONE deserves healing, recovery, and support, and when everyone in the family engages in personal and relational work, our loved one has a better chance for success at long term recovery. This family disease affects everyone in the family and has a family solution.
